Tasting in a historic 16th-century cellar

Discover the charm of the family winery Tri Hony, hidden in a beautifully renovated 16th-century wine house with an original historic cellar. This unique place offers a glimpse into centuries of winemaking tradition, whose roots in the region date back to 700 BC.

Get to know authentic local wines from the winery’s own vineyards at Tri Hony. During the tasting, you will sample 8 carefully selected wines – you can look forward to Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pálava, sparkling Riesling and Vavrinec, and, of course, Dunaj. The experience also includes a tour of the historic cellar of the 16th-century winegrower’s house.

During your visit, you will explore the ancient cellar and learn how local viticulture has evolved over the centuries. The winemaker will personally guide you through the world of wines made from their own vineyards, with an emphasis on tradition and respect for the local winemaking heritage.

With the tasting, you will receive refreshments featuring local cheeses and smoked meats, carefully selected to highlight the flavor profiles of each wine.

This is not just an ordinary wine tasting – it is a deep dive into the cultural and historical soul of the region.

The winery is located in the historic part of Modra, so you can combine the tasting with exploring this wine town. You can visit, for example, the Museum of Ceramics right next door or the Ľudovít Štúr Museum. Modra is known not only for its wine, but also for its excellent gastronomy – you will find many interesting restaurants here.
