Day of Open Tokai Open Cellars

You are invited to the 20th edition of the Tokaj Cellar Tour with wine tasting, which will take place on Saturday, 13 September 2025 in the villages of Veľká Tŕňa, Malá Tŕňa, Veľká Bara, Viničky, and Ladmovce, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

What awaits you?

Experience exceptional Tokaj wines. At each winery, you can enjoy a tasting of four samples of Tokaj wines, complemented by traditional Tokaj specialties. You’ll get to taste local Zemplín cuisine such as stuffed cabbage rolls, goulash, potato flatbreads (lokše), and various grilled specialties will also be available. Some wineries will enhance the atmosphere with local folk music, and a DJ may surprise you at one of the locations!

The number of tickets is limited!

Transport:

A free shuttle bus service will run between the participating villages. Buses will depart from the Čerhov train station. Trains from Košice and back from Čerhov will run according to the valid timetable.

About Tokaj Wines:

The Slovak Tokaj wine region is a unique area with volcanic subsoil, which gives the wines their characteristic minerality. Traditional grape varieties such as Furmint, Lipovina, and Yellow Muscat are mainly grown here, producing dry wines, naturally sweet selections, and matured Tokaj specialties. Tokaj wines from Slovakia are prized for their elegance, longevity, and distinct expression of terroir.
