Šenkvice for the Wine 2026

Šenkvice winemakers will open their wine cellars for the fifteenth time. Come to Šenkvice on April 25, 2026, from 12:00 to 22:00, and experience a day full of wine, relaxation, and good mood – exactly the way they know how to do it in Šenkvice.

For 15 years, the winemakers of Šenkvice have been sharing their love of wine with visitors from all over Slovakia. The event Za vínom do Šenkvíc (For Wine to Šenkvice) is intended for everyone who enjoys honest Slovak wine, personal meetings with winemakers, and the authentic atmosphere of a wine-growing village.

A total of 29 winemakers will present their wines, cellars, production, and presentation spaces – from small family wineries to established producers of the Malokarpatský (Little Carpathian) region. Many of these spaces are normally not accessible to the public during the year.

Each edition of the event also has its patron. The patron of the 15th edition is long-time active winemaker Emil Augustinič.

What you can look forward to in Šenkvice
Visitors can look forward to a day full of flavors, aromas, and experiences: wine tastings directly with winemakers in their cellars, traditional Slovak cuisine and local specialties prepared according to recipes of Šenkvice grandmothers, popular Šenkvice music – following the success of previous years, as many as three bands will provide the musical accompaniment, voting for the best winery of the event combined with a raffle for attractive wine prizes, and the possibility to purchase wines and have them conveniently delivered directly to your home.

Visit the vineyard educational trail
Become a wine tourist for a moment and discover the vineyard educational trail in Šenkvice. You will see 30 traditional and newly bred grapevine varieties, as well as demonstrations of the development of vine pruning and training systems. In 15 rows, a total of 240 vines are planted. The educational trail is located near the headquarters of the local winemakers’ association and the municipal wine shop at Chorvátska Street 105, Šenkvice.

Tickets are discounted from March 3 to March 15, 2026 – the first 100 tickets are priced at €30, followed by a discounted price until April 15, 2026, and then the standard price of €35.

The ticket price includes: a tasting bag with a wine glass and a catalogue of winemakers, 40 tasting coupons, 2 bonus vouchers for purchasing wine with a total value of €10, and unlimited shuttle transport between the individual tasting locations. 🍷
