The association has existed for several decades, but since 2011 it has been officially registered as a civic association and has obtained the status of an organization recognized by the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. At the time of its founding, it had 42 members. Over time, the membership base grew, and today the association has 67 members.

Since all members are wine producers, it was important to ensure their registration with the State Veterinary and Food Administration. This registration was completed in 2018, making the association a recognized entity also in terms of food safety.
