Description

Bratislava has a new home for natural wine. The Nahé vína project, known for its successful festivals, is joining forces with Rómer House to bring a series of regular guided tastings with international participation under the name Kvapka – Evenings with Natural Wine.

The sixth evening, taking place on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:00 PM, will feature the family-run Hladký Winery from Skalica, whose wines are described by the slogan “unconventionally traditional.” The winery is led by Michal Hladký, who continues a family winemaking tradition passed down from generation to generation in Skalica.

Their story is one of returning to the land and patient work in the vineyard. In the Vysoké pole locality near Skalica, they began restoring plots that had not been intensively farmed for decades and decided to focus primarily on PIWI grape varieties – vines naturally more resistant to fungal diseases.

Thanks to this approach, they can work more sustainably, with minimal intervention and without unnecessary chemicals.

Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, they follow the same philosophy: hand harvesting, grape sorting, traditional pressing, ageing in wood, ceramic or glass vessels, and wines made without added yeasts, enzymes, stabilisers or filtering agents.

The evening with Hladký Winery will introduce wines that still feel like a discovery in our region – Savilon, Malverina, Göcseji Zamatos, Laurot, Regent and Cabernet Cortis.

Ticket price: €20 until June 3, 2026, 3:00 PM. The ticket includes:

  • a guided tasting of 8–10 wine samples,
  • a gastro snack.

It will be an evening about family tradition, nature, craftsmanship, and how unconventional grape varieties can taste remarkably natural.

The tasting will be presented as a guided sampling of several wines, complemented by a gastro snack from the kitchen of Rómer House.
