#Kvapka: 7 rows and David Kušický
120 minutes
Description
Bratislava has a new home for natural wine.
The Nahé vína project, known for its successful festivals, joins forces with the Rómer House and brings a series of regular guided tastings with international participation under the name Kvapka – evenings dedicated to natural wine.
The seventh evening, taking place on 10 June at 19:00, will bring together two distinctive names from the Slovak natural wine scene – 7 riadkov and David Kušický. They are united by a shared approach to winemaking: free, without pathos or unnecessary embellishment, yet with a clear respect for nature, craft, and their own signature style.
7 riadkov, as their name suggests, originated from seven rows of vineyards. Today, however, they represent a philosophy rather than just a place: no extravagance, no grand gestures – only wines that let nature speak for itself. Their wines are unfiltered, expressive, often built on surprising cuvées and the courage to blend varieties in a way that makes each bottle a slightly different experience.
David Kušický comes from the Domin & Kušický family, which established the first organic winery in Slovakia back in 1996. Today, he creates his own natural wines within the family winemaking background, using vineyards from the Central Slovak wine region, with the ambition to challenge stereotypes about what Slovak wine can taste like.
Ticket price: €20 until 10 June at 15:00. The price includes:
- guided tasting of 8–10 wine samples
- gastro snack
The evening with 7 riadkov and David Kušický will be about courage, playfulness, biodynamics, concrete eggs, qvevri, spontaneous fermentation, and wines that are not trying to please everyone. Sometimes light and fresh, other times wild, earthy, or punk – but always alive.
The tasting will be structured as a guided selection of wines, accompanied by a gastro snack from the kitchen of Rómer House.
