Description

Bratislava has a new space dedicated to natural wine. The Naked wines project, known for its successful festivals, is joining forces with Rómer House to present a series of regular guided tastings with international participation under the name Kvapka – Evenings with Natural Wine.

Wednesday, 20 May 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM will belong to the Austrian biodynamic winery Wimmer-Czerny from the Wagram region. The family winery is based in the village of Fels am Wagram, approximately 70 kilometres from Vienna, and its history dates back to the early 17th century. Today, the Czerny family farms according to Demeter principles and is considered one of the respected names in Austrian natural winemaking.

The Wagram region is known for its deep loess soils and wines with pronounced minerality and elegance. The winery focuses primarily on the Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Roter Veltliner grape varieties. Their wines are produced with minimal intervention — spontaneous fermentation, hand harvesting, minimal sulphur use, and deep respect for both the soil and the character of each vintage.

The evening will include a guided tasting of several wines, including the natural PUR line, which features skin-contact wines, pét-nats, and amphora wines.

The event stands out for the intimate atmosphere of the historic Rómer House venue, the personal nature of the tasting, and the thoughtful connection between high-quality natural wine and the cultural environment of Bratislava’s city centre.

Advance ticket price: €20 until 20 May 2026, 12:00 PM.

The ticket price includes:

  • a guided tasting of several Wimmer-Czerny wines
  • a gastro snack prepared by the Rómer House kitchen

Gastronomy

Each Kvapka evening connects natural wine, gastronomy, and the cultural atmosphere of Rómer House. The tasting includes a gastro snack prepared by the Rómer House kitchen and paired with the wines.

The event has an intimate character and is intended for visitors who want to discover authentic wineries, natural wine, and the stories of the people behind them.
