Description

In the city of Prešov, the tradition of wine trade—once a key contributor to the city’s development—is coming back to life. Eight venues in the city center have joined forces to welcome eight wineries from the Small Carpathian wine region, mostly from the village of Vinosady.

The fourth edition of the Prešov Wine Cellars event will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The event brings together lovers of Slovak wine and gastronomy while also offering a glimpse into the history and hidden corners of Prešov.

From 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Slovak wines will be available for tasting at the following venues: Vinárerň and wine bar Viecha pod klenbami, Restaurant Kulinár, Atrium Guesthouse and Restaurant, Restaurant Via Magna, Caraffka City Gallery, Šarišská chiža Restaurant, La Cucaracha Trojica Restaurant and Pizzeria, and Café Kumšt. Each venue will host one winery, creating a small wine route in the center of Prešov.

The following wineries will be featured: Vinkor, Vinovin, Martin Pomfy – Mavín, Bobulles – Samuel Hacaj, Víno Pútec, Vinárstvo Hanúsek – Vinosady, Vins Winery – Richard Tóth, and Juraj Zápražný.

Purchased bottles may be stored at participating venues, labeled with the wine pass number and contact details. For home delivery or delivery to a specified address, a minimum purchase of 6 bottles (one case) is required. The organizer will provide delivery within the districts of Prešov and Košice-mesto.

Between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, one tasting pour of each wine will be served free of charge during happy hour. Participants who visit all eight wineries and taste at least one wine at each location will be entered into a prize draw.

Participating venues will also offer their regular menus, with some preparing special menus or accompanying events, which will be promoted in advance on social media.
