Nevinne o víne Komárno – Wine Tasting

Discover the world of quality wines in the unique setting of Komárno’s historic fortress. Nevinne o víne invites you to an unlimited wine tasting where you can sample wines from Slovak and international wineries, meet the winemakers in person, and discover the stories behind every bottle. The tasting will also feature medal-winning wines from the prestigious Danube Wine Challenge, giving you the opportunity to experience some of the finest wines from today’s wine scene.

The event is organized by Nevinne o víne and will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Restaurant Bastion in Komárno. This is a free-flow tasting, allowing you to arrive at any time during the event and enjoy the wines at your own pace. Set within the unique atmosphere of the historic bastion, you will have the opportunity to taste wines from Slovak and international winemakers, purchase your favourite wines directly from the producers, and spend a pleasant afternoon filled with great wines and inspiring conversations. The number of tickets is limited.

The Danube Wine Challenge is one of the most prestigious international wine competitions in the region. At the event, you will have the opportunity to taste wines that have been awarded by an international panel of wine experts and ranked among the best in their categories.

Venue

The tasting takes place at Restaurant Bastion, located within Bastion VI, part of the extensive fortress system of Komárno. These historic premises are among the city's most important cultural landmarks, and their restoration has been recognised with the prestigious Europa Nostra Award. The combination of historic architecture, the pleasant climate created by the fortress's thick stone walls, and excellent gastronomy provides the perfect setting for a summer wine tasting.

Restaurant Bastion is located approximately 5 minutes by car from the centre of Komárno. Parking is available nearby.

By Train

From Komárno Railway Station, the venue can be reached on foot in approximately 20 minutes, or by taxi.

By Bus

The Komárno Bus Station is located approximately 15–20 minutes' walk from the venue.
