Danube Wine Day is a unique opportunity to taste more than 200 award-winning wines from Slovakia and abroad, meet winemakers in person, and learn the stories behind the winning wines. If you are looking for a wine tasting where you can sample international champions while meeting the people who created them, Danube Wine Day is one of the most exciting wine events of the year.

The event is organized by Nevinne o víne and will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the BVS Waterworks Museum in Bratislava. The gala tasting will include the official trophy ceremony for wineries awarded at the 12th edition of the international Danube Wine Challenge 2026 competition. Throughout the event, visitors will enjoy unlimited wine tasting presented personally by winemakers from Slovakia and abroad.

Danube Wine Challenge is one of the most prestigious international wine competitions in the region and is a member of VINOFED under the patronage of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). At Danube Wine Day, you will have the opportunity to taste wines that have been evaluated and awarded by an international panel of wine experts in competition with wineries from several countries.

The BVS Waterworks Museum is located in the historic premises of Bratislava's first pumping station and is considered one of the city's most interesting technical heritage sites. Its spacious grounds in the Karlova Ves district offer a pleasant setting with greenery, historical architecture, and ample space for a comfortable tasting experience.

Getting There

By Car

The BVS Waterworks Museum is located in the Karlova Ves district of Bratislava. The journey from the city centre takes approximately 10 minutes.

By Public Transport

Regular tram and bus connections operate from the city centre to Karlova Ves. Public transport stops are within walking distance of the museum grounds.

By Train

From Bratislava Main Railway Station, the venue can be reached by public transport or taxi.


Tasting conditions

You are welcome to arrive at any time during the event. However, we recommend arriving earlier in the afternoon to fully enjoy both the wine tasting and the accompanying programme.
