Traditionally held on the second Saturday of July, the 13th edition of the Wine Festival will take place in Veľký Kýr, organized by the local winemakers' association. This popular event is set in the unique “Cellar Lane” – a valley lined with up to 72 historic wine cellars carved into sandstone walls. Visitors can explore the rich winemaking and viticultural traditions of the Nitra wine region.

The festival will be held on Saturday, July 12, starting at 3:00 PM, and will offer over 100 types of wine from nearly 30 exhibitors – ranging from small local vintners to professional producers from across the region. The Nitra wine region is particularly known for its quality white wines, such as Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Müller Thurgau, as well as its distinctive reds like Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

A children’s area with various attractions will also be available, ensuring a fun day for the whole family.

The Wine Pass costs €16 and includes:

• a tasting glass,
• a festival map, and
• tokens worth €5, redeemable at any of the participating winemakers.
